Back in the USA, USA, USA...

After we got back from Spain, we spent less than a week on the east coast with our families, packed up the van again, and beelined it... to San Francisco.

The van still wasn't finished but it was time to go.

And then, from out of nowhere, our friend Randy was at Dyl's parents' house! He had been traveling across the country and decided to "stop by" from the Red River Gorge in Kentucky.

The boys getting some sweet QT. Awww..

And then we were outta there.
Our first stop was Fayetteville, AR, to see our friend Leana. She moved there a few years ago, started a business and just recently went full-time running her own company! She specializes in watercolors and digital illustrations and her work is simply gorgeous. Check her out at www.maywefly.com! We are fortunate to own a hand-painted calendar from her shop, right here in the van.

After a night of catching up in Fayetteville, we headed out to meet my brother near Ardmore, OK. He lives in Fort Worth, TX and met us to go camping for the weekend. We had a fun couple of days of hanging out, relaxing, and mostly, eating. A LOT. Of really tasty food. It's the Korean way!

We then busted out to meet our friends Jen and Conor in Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas, NV. They had just finished restoring a camping trailer, quite beautifully I might add, in which Jen has just started to live/work out of, living the dream and stuff.

Our "neighborhood" in the Red Rock Canyon campground.

Conor making sure the newly installed solar panel stays on during the nasty wind/dust storm we encountered .

With it being gross outside, we spent a lot of time in the trailer. Thankful for a good hangout space and even better company!

We got some climbing in too. Conor struttin' his stuff on the Pier.

And Dyl had to go back to his nemesis, the appropriately named Monsterskank. One day it will go!

Dyl tested out the solar shower, all I can say is that it smelled like hot plastic, which I guess beats BO.
After romping around in Red Rocks, it was finally time to go to San Francisco. One of my dearest friends was getting married in a week, and we had some work to do to make sure this wedding went off without a hitch! First order of business was picking up olive branches at a friend's family farm in Fresno, which were to be used as decorations. (Yes, I realize this paragraph had quite a bit of alliteration in it.)

Pick up olive branches, check!

Arriving in SF, check!

Finding a place to park the van, check!

Loading up the van with wedding stuff, check!

Stunning and happy bride, check!
And then it was just a whirlwind of wedding happenings, catching up with old friends, making new ones, and just pure, pure joy. I had so much fun and was kept busy enough that I forgot to take any pictures of the actual wedding, but I suppose that's what photographers are for. Congratulations to Sue and Dave for having a kickass wedding and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
